I am Swadhina Panda pursuing my master's at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla, Sambalpur, Odish. My research interests focus on the development of fluorescent probes for highly sensitive and selective amino acid sensing. I have completed a Summer Internship at IREL, Berhampur, where I gained valuable exposure to industrial chemical processes, analytical techniques, and quality control workflows. This experience enhanced my practical laboratory skills, deepened my understanding of material characterization, and strengthened my ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world industrial applications. I am particularly interested in understanding how molecular recognition, photophysical behavior, and probe–analyte interactions can be tuned to detect specific amino acids in complex biological and environmental samples. Fluorescent sensing offers rapid, non-destructive, and real-time detection, making it a powerful tool for studying biochemical pathways, diagnosing metabolic disorders, and monitoring food quality. Through rational probe design, functional group modification, and exploration of environment-responsive fluorophores, I aim to develop advanced sensing systems capable of achieving high specificity, strong signal output, and practical applicability in chemical and biological analysis.
